I've been eyeing this shoe since it first came out, especially in the gold color. But SAKS ran out of my size so I had to order the black. Honestly, if you love heels and height, this is the shoe. I read the other reviews and yes it is high but with the platform in the front, it saves your feet (unlike other designer platformed heels that I can't mention in this review). My feet didn't feel too arched uncomfortably. The platform adds cushion so it's much more comfortable than expected. They definitely need to be broken in at home first before venturing out. Either color would be a great addition to your shoe closet. Of course the gold/silver stands out a lot more than the black but the black has a nice shimmer to it too.

SIMPLY AMAZING!!

I just got this shoe today and despite the what the other reviews said about the height, I find them to be SIMPLY AMAZING! I actually ordered a size down (I am usually a size 7, but got a 6.5 so that the straps around the ankle sit tight.) The heel looks SO sexy and elegant and, believe it or not, they are comfortable to walk in -- if you are used to wearing high heels. If you are a type of gal that loves 5 inches or more, these shoes are for you! One of the best purchases that I made in a long time, So happy with these babies!!!

Prettiest shoe ever, BUT

This may be the most beautiful shoe I've ever seen. I ordered it for my upcoming wedding, and was so excited when it came in, until I tried it on. I've never said this before, but it's simply too tall. There's NO WAY I could wear it for more than 10 minutes. It's a 6 inch heel, with a 1 inch platform. You're basically in a pointe shoe, without any support around the ankle. I so wish there was an inch shorter version.

Almost broke my ankle

This shoe is gorgeous but i almost broke my ankle wearing them for like an hour. not made right - too big at the ankle area. from a scale of 1 to 5 for looks its a 5+ for comfort its a 1 :( sorry!!!!
